Wave – Health & Beauty news: Jo Malone London, Kelly Brook, Zaggora & Oriflame
Tailor-made scent
The new fragrance on our wish list is Osmanthus Blossom from Jo Malone London, which launches on 1 May 2013. This light, floral fragrance has a supple leather base giving it a unique Jo Malone London twist. This is the latest from the quintessentially British brand. But have you ever noticed how one fragrance will smell fantastic on one person but it’s not quite the same on you? Or, is it that you love statement fragrances like Jo Malone London but find they are so distinctive that you don’t quite feel so unique? Fragrance Combining™ creates a unique scented signature. While every cologne is stunning worn alone, each is designed to be layered with complementary or contrasting Jo Malone™ colognes and crèmes.
We caught up with Jo Malone London’s new perfumer Marie for her tips on combining fragrances and to find out her inspiration for Osmanthus Blossom.
“When Jo Malone London suggested we create this fragrance, I immediately thought back to my experience of working with the blossom while studying perfumery which compelled me to treat the flower in a fresh way,” says Marie. “So I drew inspiration from the idea of delicate blossom petals covered in bright morning dew.
“Osmanthus Blossom and Nectarine Blossom & Honey melt together to unify their similarly fruity hearts and delicately light florals. Blackberry & Bay and Osmanthus Blossom layer well, creating a juiciness that is enhanced by the crisp greenness featuring in both scents. However, Osmanthus Blossom adds a floral note that warms the fragrance.”

Work up a sweat
Last month we raved over the Zaggora brand – the workout gear with patent-pending fabric technology, designed to harness
the body’s natural heat during exercise, meaning more calories are burnt in a typical session. Well, we’ve been putting them to the test and the results are fantastic. The hot pants are like putting on a wetsuit, but once you’re accustomed to the fabric it’s business as usual for your morning run – and you will work up
a sweat. There are training tops too (non-wetsuit style) plus shorts, capri pants, flares and 3/4 lengths.

So, you have the right exercise clothes (thanks to Zaggora), but what’s your workout of choice? Whole body vibration machines have been popular for a number of years and now, there’s a new face on the market: FLABéLOS.
The FLABéLOS machine provides a whole body workout for fat burning and weight loss, in as little as 10 minutes! The vibrations induce over 10,000 muscle contractions. The more muscle a person has, the faster they burn calories. Try it for high impact exercise with low impact on muscles! Celeb fans of whole body vibration (WBV) machines include Elle Macpherson and Kylie Minogue.
FLABéLOS is available at salons and spas nationwide with prices starting at only £5 a session. Start now and get the perfect beach body in time for summer.
