Brighton woman arrested in drugs raid

A 47-year-old woman from Brighton has been arrested by police during a drugs raid.

Officers found what they described as “a quantity of cash” and what they believed to be cocaine at a house in Woodingdean.

The woman was arrested on suspicion of having drugs with intent to supply.

The raid was carried out by officers from the Sussex Police Serious Organised Crime Unit.

The officers were executing a drugs warrant at the house in Holtview in Woodingdean on Thursday evening (2 May).

The suspect was interviewed late on Thursday evening and released on police bail until Thursday 27 June while officers continue to make inquiries.
