Eddie Izzard – Force Majeure
There have been a few imitators over the years but there really is no one else quite like Izzard. His street performance roots may be decades in the past but his joy in the details as he West End dances through his own creation of ‘trouser mountain’, mugs at a conversation between Ceasar and Mark Anthony and skips across the stage shows he’s still a very physical comic, for all of his clever words. Stirring up ideas, more political ones in this tour than ever before, and still keeping his invisible note pad to pass meta comments on the show’s contents as they unfold, this is ever reliable, ever smart and ever ready Eddie. Funny, off the wall and after all these years remaining unlike anyone else. Praise be.
