The Great Enormo

The majestic Dome Concert Hall was filled to capacity with children and families for the world premier of The Great Enormo – a theme park that takes visitors on a time-travelling journey. Guest Director Michael Rosen enthusiastically narrated the story via the participation of the audience (children and adults) and the orchestra. Educational and fun, the audience found themselves providing the sounds of a time-travelling train and humming as intergalactic wasps! The City of London Sinfonia were sublime, and the comic interaction between them and Rosen was a joy. Part two provided more fun with A Grand, Grand Festival Overture with vacuum cleaners fronting the orchestra, and a beautiful rendition of Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite with short poems read by Rosen.
