Lynn Ruth Miller – Granny’s Gone Wild

I half knew what to expect at the ‘Granny’s Gone Wild’ show starring Lynn Ruth Miller with excellent piano by Tom Phelan. Songs, stories and jokes by the irrepressible Lynn Ruth, who at 79 years old, has way more energy and humour than well, anything! But I didn’t expect it to be so-o funny, and so-o marvellously sung and played. The audience at the Latest Musicbar were quickly relaxed and joined in the fun and many wiped away tears of both laughter and pathos. Lynn Ruth knows how to tell a story, she makes a point and exagerrates it, adds lyrics and music so you not only know the point, you hum it going home. ‘Nothing Like Love’ was the stand out song, so poignant and delivered like a true seen-it-all-and-turned-it-into-sparkling-comedy diva.
