Desperately Seeking The Exit
Peter Michael Marino wrote a Blondie jukebox musical with the story of Desperately Seeking Susan, it was staged in London’s West End, it ran for a month. That’s the short version. In Desperately Seeking The Exit, New Yorker Peter took us through the production from stoned inception to mutual breakdown, proclaiming both ‘Angloholic’ adoration and dumb amazement at Brit idosyncrasies that appeared to contribute to his collapse. Enthusiastically expressive himself (which Peter simply described as ‘American’), this was an interesting and informative tale for anyone considering putting on their own show, with the adage of too many cooks spoiling whatever they’re working on proving all too true. Pete isn’t as funny as he thinks he is, but he is engaging, enlightening and generous with his time and his honesty – making this a rich and entertaining, if at times contradictory, storytelling experience.

Thanks for the review and for checking out the show! But, truthfully, I actually don’t think I’m funny at all! Cheers. xo
