The Bear

Solicitor’s clerk, Angela Clerkin, gets sucked into a world of violence when her supposedly murderous client explains a bear committed the crime. She starts investigating in a film noir pastiche only to realise the bear is stalking her. This allegorical tale of fear, rage and acceptance captured the audience’s attention leading them through a circuitous path to self-discovery. Impressive comedic/dramatic performances by Clerkin and Guy Dartnell touched on everything from Irish family life to legal proceedings, and there’s a vast amount of information crammed in — so as well as being thoroughly entertained, you’ll learn what to do if a bear attacks!
