Boatyard fire at Brighton Marina

Fire crews from Brighton tackled a blaze in the boatyard at Brighton Marina.

Two crews from Preston Circus and the aerial ladder platform were sent to the Marine Trade Centre at Brighton Marina on Saturday evening (18 May).

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said that the alarm was raised just before 8.30pm.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered a ground-floor garage in Strand Road and used one hose reel to tackle the fire.

The cause of the fire was found to be accidental.
