Great Escape: Birth Of Joy
With many suffering from first night overindulgence, the darkness of the basement seemed to be a good place to gently greet the day with an afternoon of Dutch acts. First up were this powerhouse trio, whose no nonsense unharnessed mayhem blasted away any crowd fatigue. The combination of drums, guitar and organ produced really heavy riffs as they threw everything they had into every second of their set – disappointingly their only appearance. The Hammond swirled, the drums pounded and the guitar wigged out, showing a passion for rock and roll that seemed to be sadly lacking elsewhere in town.
