Ian Harvey Stone – Your Place Or Mind

A repeated theme of Stone’s show is ‘synchronicity’, or as it appears to others; ‘extreme coincidence’. A combination of mind-reading, hypnosis, and everyday showmanship, bit by bit Stone drew us all in – he had to in this intimate theatre and the degree of audience participation his show desired, meaning that practically everybody in the audience took part at some point, which on occasion was its downfall. An enjoyable hour for those that saw and wondered at ‘The Men Who Stare At Goats’ and who ponder at government conspiracies to develop ESP – it was an fun conceit. And with set-ups I’d yet to see elsewhere, an original turn on an old musical hall genre.
