Mad Hatter’s Tea Party

A few people appeared in the bar in Alice in Wonderland costumes – very nice costumes, admittedly – but that was about all that happened. Some people were given a worksheet to fill in, but not everyone. Alice handed round a few sandwiches and cups of G&T, but likewise not to everyone. The bar was really crowded, there wasn’t enough room to sit down or even stand comfortably, and although it was supposed to be a ticketed event, no-one checked if people were there for the event or not. It was free and it would have been fine if it was just a spontaneous happening in the bar, but as it was advertised as an event that you would turn up on purpose for, you could reasonably expect somebody to do something.
