Red Brick Comedy Club
It’s a hard task to keep up the laughs in a venue as large as the Warren if it’s only half full but resident MC Lloyd Griffith did a good job warming up the crowd with his bizzare impressions and operatic singing. First act Sam Savage, despite being a competent comedian, looked and sounded as though she were reading from a script. Next up the rather dashing and precocious young talent Rhys James had some truly great jokes which will see him prosper in no time at all. But it was headliner, oddball and ‘professional swingball’ player Adam Riches who brought the house down. With the best use of audience participation I have ever seen, his set demonstrated an inner madness only the most confident and accomplished comedians can master.
