Artist In A Sauna
The idea of a site-specific Fringe performance in a sauna was very appealing, but sadly the audience were not in the telephone box-sized sauna, which turned out to be mostly incidental to the performance anyway and was rapidly abandoned. Against a distracting backdrop of projected cartoon aphorisms, Brash Brackenfield performed mediocre poetry, sang along to recordings of his own raps and told a few stories about his life, then randomly decided to go outside to firewalk. The performance started half an hour later than advertised and there was an unnecessary break halfway through the hour long show. It all came across as quite self-indulgent. This really was a show for friends and family of the performer only.
