Man suffers broken ankle in Brighton dodgem car attack
A man was headbutted, fell and suffered a broken ankle after a ride on the dodgems with his family at Brighton Marina.
The 32-year-old victim needed hospital treatment after the attack which happened on Sunday 3 March at about 2.30pm.
Sussex Police published CCTV images yesterday (Wednesday 29 May) of people who detectives want to speak to in connection with the attack.
The force said that the man who assaulted the victim was with a younger woman, two small children and an older woman who is alleged to have pushed the victim to the chest.
They then all walked off eastbound towards the restaurants at Marina Village.
The man who is alleged to have assaulted the victim was described as being a slim Asian man, 5ft 7in or 5ft 8in tall and 30 to 35 years old. He was clean shaven and with short black hair.
He was wearing a white short-sleeved t-shirt and burgundy coloured trousers.
Detective Constable Emma Vickers said: “We have investigated numerous lines of inquiry and I’m hoping that by releasing the CCTV images someone may remember the incident or recognise some of the people we would like to speak to.”
She asked anyone with information to call Sussex Police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
