A man from Hove is being hunted by police who want to send him back to prison.
Sussex Police said that Jason Tilley, 22, had been released from prison on Thursday 30 May after serving part of a 30-month sentence for making threats to kill.
Surrey and Sussex Probation Trust asked Sussex Police to arrest Tilley saying that he had breached the terms of his release licence.
Tilley was described as a 6ft 4in tall white man of medium build. He was said to be clean shaven, with short mousey dyed red hair and blue eyes.
He comes from Hove and is believed still to be in the Brighton and Hove area although he also has connections in Hailsham.
PC Max Lippert said: “Tilley is not believed to be a direct physical threats to members of the general public but anyone who sees him or knows where he may be should simply call us.”
He said that anyone who could help should call Sussex Police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
