Go Back For Murder
Our main protagonist, Clara, believes her mother is innocent of the murder of her artistically temperamental father. Via interviews with the witnesses, her pugnaciousness/tenacity (and a smitten solicitor) brings the truth to the surface. This was a proper little pot-boiler from The Agatha Christie Theatre Company; buckets of vigour, purpose and energy. I accept it didn’t stray too far from A.C. formula (a whodunnit, what else!) and character types. But the very able and professional cast gave the characters a roundness and depth which (it could be argued) is lacking from other A.C. works. The tight scene changes helped maintain the tension. Bravo.
