Four men rob couple in their Brighton flat

Four men forced their way into a Brighton couple’s home and threatened them with a knife before robbing them.

The men appear to have been let into a block of flats in Regent Street in Brighton shortly after 8pm on Tuesday (25 June).

They stole £150 cash from the couple, who are in their forties, having threatened them with a knife and a dumbbell.

The suspects were described as white men between 35 and 40 years old. One was described as being about 5ft 6in tall, having a stocky build and a shaven head.

Another was said to be about 5ft 7in tall and scruffy looking. The other two spoke with Irish accents.

Detective Constable Tracey Dixon, from Brighton and Hove CID, said: “We believe this may have been a targeted attack.

“Fortunately the victims were not seriously injured but were understandably very shaken by the incident.

“I would like to appeal to anyone who knows who is responsible for this robbery or was in the area of North Road shortly after 8pm to please get in touch.”

Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to call Sussex Police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
