Dead Certain
This two-hander could be classed as the bastard child of Stephen King’s ‘Misery’ and the ‘Saw’ movies. A Russian doll of productions; a play within a play within a play but with a deeply psychotic twist. Elizabeth, a wheelchair-bound theatre-obsessed ex-dancer writes a play with a single actor in mind, Michael. But why? How has she managed to write a script based on what had literally just happened? Intuition? Foresight? Or something more sinister!!? Okay, the plot is a little far-fetched in places and due to its nature you know the ending within the first 15 minutes, but it’s enjoyable nonetheless and both actors perform admirably. Well worth a watch.
