Brighton Music Awards 2013
When music and creativity is the life force of a city it would be criminal to turn a blind eye to such talent. So, in true rock ‘n’ roll style we had the BMAs. The Brighton Music Awards took place on Friday 28 June at The Latest Musicbar. All the nominees and winners were voted for by fans and they had the chance to see their favourite artists play up close and personal. Six local bands played throughout the evening with Black Bonds kicking off the after show. As if that wasn’t enough, local artist Cassette Lord made all the awards providing a bespoke piece of art for each category winner. Roll on next year!

Whoopsadaisy bowled over by its new home
Whoopsadaisy, the Conductive Education charity which helps children with physical disabilities such as cerebral palsy live more independent lives, held a party to celebrate moving into its new home in the former Ladies Bowls Pavilion, Preston Park, Brighton.
Whoopsadaisy has relocated to larger premises so that it can respond to the increasing demand for its services. More places will be made available in the under-fives’ groups during the week, for 5-12 year olds on Saturdays and there will be space for eight children a day at Whoopsadaisy Holiday Clubs.

Kate Wilson (salon director) & Trevor Sorbie
The Trevor Sorbie client summer party (3 July) was an extremely glamorous affair with the Nile Street salon filled with guests including Trevor himself, his lovely wife Carole and Salon Director and co-owner Kate Wilson.
Salon stylists Anna, Fergal and Morgan presented a brilliant hair master class demonstrating several catwalk looks utilising their experiences from the shows at London and Paris Fashion Week. A team of lovely ladies from Clarins were on hand to pamper and beautify guests and a hamper of beauty products including the newly launched Trevor Sorbie Salon Approved range was raffled for Rockinghorse. Amanda Johnson showed a beautiful range of Pierre Lang jewellery, while everyone enjoyed Pimm’s cocktails and sushi from Moshimo. Guests left with amazing goodie bags filled with Trevor Sorbie products and lovely Clarins treats. The perfect evening!
