Brighton’s Big Screen is back & bigger than ever for summer 2013

Brighton’s Big Screen, Brighton’s free beachfront cinema, is back by popular demand and looks set to take outdoor cinema viewing to a whole new level from 30 July–26 August 2013.

Situated on Brighton beach next to the Brighton Pier and the Wheel, Brighton’s Big Screen will showcase some of the biggest recent box office hits including, Les Misérables, Life Of Pi and Oblivion along with a mixture of movie classics including Anchorman, Raiders Of The Lost Ark, Brighton Rock and Quadrophenia plus top live sporting events including the Ashes, the World Athletics Championships and Formula 1.

The gigantic 40sqm screen will be almost double in size from 2012 and there will be a seated grandstand, VIP area, licensed bar and refreshment area for all to enjoy.

Special themed weekends and evenings have now been confirmed, including Duke’s On The Beach with the Duke Of York’s Picture House, ‘Brighton’s Big Screen Shocktober Fest’, bought to you by Tulleys Farm, a special showcase performance of ‘All or Nothing The MOD Musical, featuring the life and music of the Small Faces and a 10am–12noon ‘Big Screen Kids Scene’ with the Starr Trust and Brighton Sea Life Centre. New for this year Brighton’s Big Screen will also feature local filmmakers in a series of screenings entitled AMI Showcase.
