Two people treated after kitchen fire in Brighton

Two people were treated for the effects of breathing in smoke after a fire in the kitchen of a property in Brighton this morning (Friday 26 July).

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said that it received a call shortly before 6.30am today.

Crews from Preston Circus were sent to the house in Beechwood Avenue, Hollingbury, which they found severely smoke-logged.

They used breathing apparatus to deal with fire.

The fire service said that two people, who were thought to be living at the address, needed treatment from South East Coast Ambulance Service crews.
