Lara store opens
Brighton’s Lara store opened on Thursday 11 July with a special launch party. The stunning new store sells beautiful glassware, sumptuous blankets, scented candles, leather accessories, men’s grooming products and vintage furniture. Guests celebrated the opening with a silent suction also being held in aid of the Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice.

Cin Cin private launch
Saturday 13 July saw the official launch of a fantastic new addition to the Brighton street food and mobile catering scene called Cin Cin (pronounced ‘chin chin’). David Toscano, owner of Cin Cin, entertained a number of guests in Eaton Grove, Hove at the studio of local fashion accessories company, Boston and Boston.
This charming 1972 vintage Fiat van specialises in serving beautiful Italian antipasti and Prosecco – ‘bubbles and nibbles’ – and is available for private events, weddings, fairs and festivals.

Big Beach Clean Up
Barefoot Wine and Ben Fogle are helping to keep Britain’s beaches ‘barefoot friendly’ in 2013 and on Saturday 6 July they rolled up their sleeves to clean Brighton beach along with volunteers.
The national Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue Project, now in its sixth year, runs through spring and summer with environmentalist and adventurer Ben Fogle as ambassador.
Barefoot Wine has teamed up with environmental charity Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) to encourage volunteers to join the Brighton coastal clean.

Voipfone wins Queens award
Voipfone, a pioneering telephony company that uses the internet to send and receive telephone calls, has won a prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise – the UK’s highest accolade for business success – and celebrated it with a ceremony at the Royal Pavilion on Thursday 18 July. The award was presented by The Lord Lieutenant of Sussex. The award is the latest in a long line of recognition for the ground-breaking company that was created by Colin Duffy from Brighton and Lee Rose from Ashford.
