Pedestrian hurt in Brighton seafront crash

A pedestrian from Hove suffered a head injury when he was knocked over by a car on Brighton seafront in the early hours of Saturday morning (10 August).

Sussex Police said: “At 1.50am on Saturday 10 August a collision took place between an eastbound Peugeot 107, driven by a 20-year old Hove woman, and a 30-year old male pedestrian from Hove, on the A259 Marine Parade, Brighton, outside Legends hotel and bar.

“The driver of the car and her two passengers were unhurt but the man was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital with a serious head injury.

“However, he was discharged from hospital later the same day.

“Police are investigating the collision and are appealing for witnesses, particularly the driver of a Brighton and Hove taxi which was parked near by.”
