The Proclaimers

It’s hard to imagine that, in the 30 odd years they’ve been touring, this was their Worthing debut. And we’ve been missing out on one hell of a hootenanny, boy do they know how to rock. The Brothers Reid showed off their gloriously tight harmonies song after song, no bull****, no innane chatter, they just got on with it – almost workmen like. However, the harmonies almost over-shadowed what great lyricist’s they are. ‘Sunshine On Leith’ is a beautifully written and ‘Letters From America’ crafted to an nth degree. Of course it had to finish with a rabble rousing ‘I’m gonna be (500 miles)’, and why not. Brilliant.
