Privates on Parade

First seen in 1977 Peter Nichols’ play with songs, Privates On Parade, juxtaposes the horror of the war in South East Asia against the camp camaraderie of a military concert party. As conscripts fight and die, concert party leader Terry Dennis, played by seasoned cabaret female impersonator Miss Jason, stages light entertainments aimed at taking the troops’ minds off the terror of jungle warfare.
Comedic yet poignant this new Brighton production opens at the Theatre Royal Brighton on 22 August 2013.
