Men sexually assault Brighton teenager after spiking her drink

A teenage girl from Brighton was sexually assaulted after her drink was spiked during a night out.

The 17-year-old left the Life night club in King’s Road Arches in Brighton with a friend and three black men.

Sussex Police said: “The group took a taxi to an address in Richmond Parade, near St Peter’s Church, where the victim was given a drink which is thought to have been spiked.

“The teenager, from Brighton, then passed out. Her next memory is of being pushed out of the home and into the street by the black men.

“She was found wandering in the streets around St Peter’s Church by a man and woman who helped her and took her to her home.

“The incident happened in the early hours of Friday 12 July but it was only reported to police a month later after the victim contacted the Survivors Network charity.

“The men who are believed to have sexually assaulted the teenager are described as African males of big build.”

Detective Constable Brad Lozynski, of Brighton and Hove CID, said: “I am keen to trace the man and woman who helped the victim after she had been thrown into the street.

“They may have information which is vital to the investigation but may not realise it.

“I would also like to speak to anyone who saw the group of five people leaving Life together or saw where they went.”
