Two boys from Brighton held after trying to rob fried chicken delivery man

Two boys have been arrested after they attacked and tried to rob a takeaway delivery man in Brighton early this morning (Wednesday 21 August).

The chicken takeaway employee was making a delivery to a block of flats in Donald Hall Road but no one answered the door.

He was walking back to his car when he was attacked at about 3am today.

Sussex Police said: “He heard a voice behind him and as he did the food was taken and he was hit in the chest.

“The victim managed to set off his car alarm to drawn attention and the suspects ran off.

“Two boys were arrested near by – a 15-year-old and 17-year-old both from Brighton – on suspicion of robbery. They remain in custody on Wednesday.”
