Suspect bailed over rape of man on Brighton beach

A 32-year-old man has been bailed after being arrested on suspicion of raping another man on Brighton beach in the early hours of yesterday morning (Wednesday 21 August).

Sussex Police said that officers were called to the beach, near the Coalition night club at 3am, where a 20-year-old man from Brighton reported that he had been raped by another man.

The 32-year-old, from London, was arrested and has been released on police bail until Tuesday 22 October while investigations continue.
