- August 27, 2013

The escaped murderer who is suspected of burgling three properties in Brighton and Hove may now be in London.

Paul Flint, 48, absconded from Ford Prison last month where he was serving a sentence for burglary and murder.

Sussex Police said that he may be linked to three burglaries in Brighton and Hove and have since gone into hiding in north London.

The first break-in happened on Monday 8 July at 11am at a home in Granville Road, Hove.

The second happened on Monday 15 July between 8am and 10.30am in Cross Street, Hove.

And the third happened on Monday 5 August between 10.10am and 11.10am in Dean Street, Brighton.

More than £2,500 cash was taken along with a black wallet and a black Sony Vaio laptop with the model number VPCEH1L8E/B.

Detective Inspector Dave Richards said: “There is recent information that suggests Flint may be in north London.

“We think he is likely to commit more crime unless he is arrested so I would urge anyone that sees him to contact us immediately.

“Dial 999 but do not approach him.”

Flint was described as black, 5ft 11in tall and stocky. He has black greying hair, wears glasses and has an English accent.

He walked out Ford – an open prison – on Monday 1 July.

He failed to return to Hollesley Bay Prison in Suffolk last year after being released temporarily. He was arrested in Bristol five days later by police using a taser.
