Wave: Pre-wedding pampering
Grooming tips & style ideas for the bride & groom to look the part on their big day
Whether the wedding is next year or next month, brides-to-be will be busy thinking about the style of make-up for their wedding day; how the light will reflect in photographs and how dramatic the tone should be to suit the dress and location of your wedding. Don’t panic, here are a few suggestions to get you thinking.
Winter wedding:
• If you’re having winter wedding, opt for a ’50s style structured high bun (make sure to have a hair trial so you achieve the look you’re after)
• Copper or winterberry coloured lipstick
• Heavy gold eyeshadow with dark eyebrows to frame the face
• Pale skin will compliment the dramatic lips and eyes
Beach wedding:
• Large, loose curls to create that beach vibe
• Gold shimmer and light tones of browns on the eyes to give a natural look
• Nude gloss (get a long lasting stain so you don’t need to keep reapplying)
• Gradual tanning moisturiser (remember to start applying a few months before the big day)
Themed wedding:
• Messy bun with a headpiece to make it that little bit different
• Smokey eyes to accentuate the eyes
• Pink tones on the lips (Your groom won’t be able to resist)
• Spray tan (make sure to get this done the morning before the wedding to avoid any marks on that beautiful white dress)
Not forgetting the groom…
What about the groom!? Of course he doesn’t want to upstage his beautiful bride but he needs to take pride in his appearance and be the Prince Charming, standing proudly alongside his new wife. Here are some tips to consider for your special day:
• Deep cleansing facial to make those photographs look flawless
• Hair cut (be sure to show your hairdresser a photo of the exact style you’re looking for)
• Eyebrow shape and maybe a body wax, if you’re brave.
• Hot towel shave (you may be shaking with nerves so a professional shave is recommended!)
• Full body massage and head scalp massage to help release any tension
