The place to be, The Old Market

A sneak peek at Brighton Digital Festival events & autumn at The Old Market

The Old Market’s (TOM) Autumn season is the Hove venue’s busiest ever. On sale now, the programme ranges from internationally acclaimed bands like Tunng and Molotov Jukebox to stunning theatre such as The Paper Cinema’s Odyssey and the techno-charged Beats by Kieran Hurley.

If you haven’t visited TOM yet, hunt it out – the 300-500 capacity Main Space really is one of the city’s hidden gems. Alongside high profile gigs and performances, TOM has also been known to host lower-key work in progress shows from big names (Miranda Hart played two nights just last week.)

This September, some of Brighton Digital Festival’s most exiting events will be staged at TOM. Alongside the stunning Odyssey, Simon Wilkinson’s The Sound Of The Wind In The Trees layers retro-drenched electronica onto live AV projections featuring scenes filmed locally. The Rise And Fall Of Geo Goynes, later in the month, takes to the streets for a digital theatre and gaming experience. Outside the festival, Henning Wehn has added an extra date following a sell out earlier this year, and the missing jewell in the crown that is British pop music, Stackridge are back this month too.
