Two men charged over Brighton ramraid

Two men have been charged with ramraiding a clothes shop in Brighton in the early hours of Tuesday morning (3 September).

Ryan McLean, 30, of Monarch’s View in Portslade, has been charged with burglary, having cannabis and causing criminal damage to a police vehicle.

Dean Taylor, 26, of no fixed address, has been charged with burglary, having cannabis and making off without payment.

Sussex Police said that the charge of making off related to a historic offence alleged to have taken place in Liverpool.

Both men appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday 4 September).

They were committed for trial at Lewes Crown Court. The pair were remanded in custody until Friday 15 November.
