The Mousetrap
How should I describe a play whose secrets we are all asked not to reveal? Well, there’s a most satisfying chill in the auditorium. The set is splendidly imposing, the properties and accents all perfectly ‘period’, the acting spot-on. There’s a merry selection of suspects, irritating, sinister or charming. You’re spoiled for choice for a victim, and best of all the pace and direction are really sharp. One thing I certainly didn’t expect was that it would be just so entertaining. No wonder it’s lasted these 60 glorious years. Oh yes, and who dunnit? No – go, find out for yourself!
