Two men steal smart phone in Brighton mugging

A man was mugged for his smart phone after he got off a night bus in Brighton.

The 26-year-old victim was attacked after he got off an N25 bus by Saunders Park in Lewes Road, Brighton.

Two men knocked him to the ground and kicked him in the stomach while he walking past B&Q.

During the attack the victim dropped his Samsung Galaxy S2 phone which was in a black case.

The two men stole the phone and a small amount of cash in the attack which happened between 1.30am and 3am on Thursday 29 August.

Detective Constable Paul Candy, from Brighton and Hove CID, said: “Luckily the victim only received minor injuries, bruising to his stomach area.

“He had been drinking and the two offenders obviously took advantage of him to launch this cowardly attack on him.”
