F**k Buttons & The Haxan Cloak
With the cumbersome name and solid underground credentials, it’s not far short of a miracle that this Bristolian duo has achieved such commercial success. From playing at last year’s Olympics opening ceremony to selling out shows (including this performance) wherever they go, the key to their appeal is obvious: simply put, F**k Buttons is one of the best electronic acts around. With an almost impossibly bass-heavy opening set from the brooding Haxan Cloak warming things up nicely, the headliner’s eclectic sound veered from euphoric, spaced-out prettiness to dancefloor banger effortlessly. With every moment entrancing the crowd, a delirious AV show rendered this nothing less than hypnotic.
