Alzheimer’s Society Memory Walk
Over 400 people took to the streets of Brighton on 8 September, for the Alzheimer’s Society Memory Walk.
Former Eastenders actor John Altman, cut the starting ribbon and also completed the 10km walk. He said: ‘Having this many people take part is a great way to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s Society and the work they do to help and support those living with dementia and their carers.’ For the third year the event has been supported Bupa Care Homes, the company are donating £2.50 for every walker who completes the final mile of the walk.

Clearleft launch
Brighton’s business leaders and leading digital creatives celebrated on the new roof terrace of Clearleft’s new building on Saturday 7 September. The four-storey building at 68 Middle Street has undergone extensive renovations over the past six months and will be home to Clearleft’s digital consultancy team, as well as offering rentable office, desk and meeting space to the digital community. Joining Clearleft founder and MD, Andy Budd, were colleagues, families and well known faces including MD at Wired Sussex, Phil Jones, Jon Pratty from the Arts Council and Bill Thompson from BBC.

Lloyd Williams
Lloyd Williams launched his solo album with a gig at St Mary’s church , Kemptown on 6 September. Lloyd, singer with the local group Autumn Red, surprised the audience with a candlelit evening of great music and free wine. Support act Ellie Ford opened the show with Andrew Stuart-Buttle on violin and keyboards and Tiago Sa-Ga on backing vocals. For more info: www.lloydwilliams.com.
