Brighton housing charity celebrates 45th birthday with cake … for sale

A Brighton housing charity is celebrating its 45th birthday with cake – it’s selling dozens of them to raise funds.

Brighton Housing Trust (BHT) is holding an event called Bake for BHT at First Base day centre in St Stephen’s Hall in Montpelier Place, Brighton.

BHT said: “We’re selling all kinds of cakes, to eat in or take away, along with drinks and light refreshments.

“Every penny raised will make a huge difference to the lives of local men and women who are homeless, insecurely housed and vulnerable, and help them to move on to more positive futures.”

The cake sale is taking place at First Base from noon to 3pm.
