Studio Schools represent a new model for education and training with an ethos firmly rooted in the business world and equipping students for successful careers in the digital economy. The Hive plans to open in September 2015 for 300 students with a focus on digital media, creative and enterprise training alongside the same traditional qualifications as other schools. It aims to become the leading gateway for 14-19 year olds’ education, skills and employment within the City’s digital and creative sector and the first port of call for industry training and sourcing up-and-coming talent. The Hive will be a Studio School first for Brighton and will offer an array of groundbreaking and innovative partnerships with leading digital media and creative companies.
