Celebcity: Spanish Day at The Amex

Spanish Day at The Amex, Jeremy Paxman, plus Chumbawamba & David Prescott reunited

I donned my fedora and cape and joined in with the Spanish Day celebrations at Brighton & Hove Albion’s match against bottom of the league Bolton Wanderers on Saturday 21 September. The stadium was a sea of sombreros and Spanish flags as the crowd embraced players such as Inigo Calderon, David Lopez, Andrea Orlandi, Bruno Saltor and not forgetting new manager Oscar Garcia. I sat next to Oscar’s wife and daughter plus a few of the Spanish players’ kids, who I have to say gave the cutest Seagull chants ever! Also next to us was stand-up comedian Stephen Grant and newly promoted to Head of Sports News for Talksport, Robyn Schonhofer. If the team’s performance was anything to go by – I say viva Espana!

Knocked down, but back up again
Reunited last week were old rivals Dunstan Bruce of Chumbawamba and Labour peer and ex-Deputy Prime Minister, John Prescott, at the Labour Party Conference. Mr Prescott posed for this picture, putting aside any memories of having a bucket of water thrown at him at the 1998 Brit Awards ceremony in London.

Last week the JBPR team took a trip en masse to the fabulous Coco de Mer, the luxury erotic boutique in London’s Covent Garden. The purpose of our visit was to attend an intimate evening in celebration of the 2013 Lelo Design Awards. Timed to coincide with the London Design Festival, Lelo (who are the world’s leading provider of intimate lifestyle products) showcased the winning products in their competition to design an intimate gadget to ‘push the boundaries of pleasure’. The competition received over 150 entries from 38 countries across the globe. We enjoyed fizz and nibbles and an expert tour of the very latest in Lelo’s fantastic range of sensual delights as well as appreciating their design competition winners. Other guests at the soiree included the lovely Dancing On Ice and Emmerdale star Roxanne Pallett.
