The South

It is no surprise that when The Beautiful South broke up in 2008, what rose up was new incarnation The South with old members Dave Hemingway, Alison Wheeler and fellow mainstays who were not ready to stop playing some of the UK’s most popular music.

With a debut album and a legacy of tunes to perform, the first night of their ‘Sweet Refrains’ tour was a tremendous success. An emotional roller-coaster for some; with songs like ‘Song for Whoever’ and ‘Old Red Eyes Is Back’ inducing a trip down memory lane for more knowledgable fans, and their new material making some hips shake with delight. Welcome to The South.
