Max And Ivan: The Reunion

Comedy duo Max and Ivan play about six people each in this one-hour show, creating instantly memorable characters through fine acting and clever, fast-paced dialogue. The simple setup of a school reunion is a comedic goldmine, with the good, the bad and the forgettable graduates dealing with their pasts in vastly different ways. Rookie rappers The Alchemists performed their fantastic/terrible ‘Doesn’t Make Gold’ song for example, and a teacher was hilariously seduced by an old flame using sensual geographical facts and declaring “don’t cut me off like an oxbow lake!”. Deliriously funny, frenetic, and somehow moving too.
