David Baddiel – Fame: Not The Musical

Like a favourite lecturer with a decades-long familiarity with his subject, David Baddiel knows fame from both sides now. Delivering both a personal and generally informative show contemplating aspects of fame that he himself has been at the centre of and on the outskirts watching, this is neither a slagging of fan behaviour nor an encouragement of the all-out pursuit of fame for fame’s sake, but a consideration with all of the eloquence of the author and screenwriter Baddiel has now become more prolific as. His first foray into stand-up in over a decade, it was less rapid-fire punchlines but all the more insightful, personal and humorous for it.
