Vikki Stone – Definitely
Barely managing to squeeze more than three or four actual jokes into an hour, Vikki Stone’s addiction to silliness lends itself less to stand-up than to a one-woman pantomime. She’s been criticised in the past for relying too heavily on sexual playgroundery and (many, many) crude analogies for female arousal, and, despite sending up her critics rather cleverly in one song (though comparing the opprobrium she has attracted to the ‘Lady Chatterley’s Lover’ trial is a bit of a push), she rather proves them right. There’s nothing wrong with profanity, except when it’s a substitute for a punchline.
