When two greats collude they can compliment, they can call each other out to step up their game and sometimes become symbiotic. When Dan le Sac and Scroobius Pip work together they transcend. The ‘lexical composer’ meets a ‘Beatsmith’ and the union is so potent and juicy it can get a response from even the most aloof hipster. In the sweaty arena of the Komedia Basement, with faces upturned and feet compelled to leave the floor, we slammed and bounced our way through an artfully arranged and invigorating set.
