Roisin Conaty – Lifehunter
Performing live, as opposed to appearing on the rather proscribed and sterile medium of TV and radio, will often show a comedian at their best. As such Roisin Conaty, unleashed and unconstrained, was a revelation, brimming with attitude and giving off enough energy to power a small town. Some of the material lost bite through over familiarity, riffs about being single, holidays, keeping fit, relationships are the staples of so many comedy routines. The evening’s climax (and I use the word advisedly) featuring chilli and a cheese slice was little short of genius. An absolute corker of a show.
