Fire crews rescue Brighton crash victim

A car overturned on the A259 seafront road in Brighton in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday 22 October.

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service sent fire engines from Preston Circus and Roedean in Brighton to Marine Drive shortly before 3am today.

They rescued one person who was trapped in the overturned car after being called to the scene by Sussex Police. The car had ended up on its roof.

Firefighters helped paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service to free the casualty who was then taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
