The Jim Jones Revue

The Jim Jones Revue are clearly on a career-spanning mission to redefine the concept of loudness, and are succeeding to such a degree that they managed to blow the PA system midway through this gig. Thankfully, engineers were able to patch things up and the band returned to the stage after a short break, filling the rest of the set with audience requests to apologise for the disruption. While the constant onslaught of shouty, punchy, blues-rock did get a little repetitive for those of us in the crowd who aren’t fanatical about them, there are still few bands that are as instantly likeable and engaging as this lot.
