The Norwegian 9-piece returned to Brighton after seven years and proved that their ongoing quest to make experimental music for the ears and the feet was more than achieved. The multi-layered complex arrangements were effortlessly executed with the band members switching between instruments on pieces that had a filmic feel throughout, often evoking Giallo soundtracks; if composed by Archie Shepp and Bernard Herrmann. With drummer/MC Martin Horntveth driving each song, each member displayed incredible musicianship over the curfew-busting two hour set. This thrilling evening ended fittingly with the locally-renamed ’Brighton Skyline’.
