Celebcity: Kate Moss’ first ever photoshoot
Dave Anderson’s comic gets a new lease of life, Kate Moss’ first ever photoshoot & Nigella in town
Back to the ’90s
It was back to the ’90s we went last week for the launch of the brilliant animated book Things Ain’t Wot They Used To Be at The Book Club in Shoreditch. Created by Brighton-based animator Dave Anderson, the book follows the exploits of B**tard Bunny, a foul-mouthed rabbit who first appeared in his own eponymous comic book in 1992 before becoming the subject of an NME comic strip in 1994. As you would expect from a rabbit described by the NME as “the most violent, most hedonistic and bloody funny cartoon character in Britain”; the night was a total raving riot. The book launch recreated the ’90s for one night only – B**tard Bunny’s heyday and guests danced til they dropped; every book sold out and the entire crowd wanted to get their hands on a foxy bunny T-shirt! Kate’s first PICS
Arguably one of the most defining faces of the ’90s is fashion icon Kate Moss, whose first ever photo-shoot was the subject of an exhibition in London last week. Kate Moss: Roll 1 opened last week at the Lawrence Alkin Gallery in Soho and included never-before-seen images of Ms Moss, taken on her first ever photo-shoot at only 14 years of age, which depict the supermodel as a fresh-faced ingénue on the cusp of world domination. Taken by the photographer David Ross, who admits to being taken aback by the beauty captured by his lens, Kate Moss: Roll 1 comes on the eve of the supermodel’s 40th birthday, marking 25 years after the first shots were taken. The show attracted worldwide press attention; pictured here is gallery owner Lawrence Alkin (who also owns Brighton’s Bond Street gallery Art Republic) being interviewed by a TV crew from the German network ADR. Spotted
Spotted at Brighton Station, domestic goddess and the nation’s most famous divorcee, Nigella Lawson. Press reports that her ex-husband Charles Saatchi has hooked up with What Not to Wear fashion-botherer Trinny Woodall (even dining al fresco with her at the restaurant where he was famously snapped with Lawson in those photos) appear not to have messed with Nigella’s mojo as she was looking ruddy fabulous!
