A former Olympian and stand-in drummer didn’t pre-empt the hectic sound that this band produced tonight. In the mix was political commentary, with Andrew Falkous introducing ‘Robocop 4: **** Off Robocop’ with an “irrelevant” reference to Thatcher. Controversial interludes saw an argumentative and entertaining dialogue between the audience and frontman. The climax of the night was a 15 minute medley of FOTL and McLusky classics, as the drummer floundered around the bar with a snare and the guitarist taped beers to bystanders.
